My beloved dad, Don Venosta, has recently been diagnosed with bulbar-onset ALS, a rare and aggressive form of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis that affects speech, swallowing, and breathing. This devastating diagnosis has turned our world upside down, but we are determined to fight for slow progression of this disease and every precious moment we have. He is already experiencing symptoms, so time is of the essence for his care.

We need your help to ensure that Don receives the best possible care, medical treatments, and as much support as possible during this journey. For anyone who knows him, his kind, generous, humble, and caring spirit deserves the absolute best. We trust God that his story isn't done yet.

Why we need your help:

ALS is a relentless disease with no known cure, and treatment options are limited and costly. Time is of the essence as it can progress rapidly if not properly cared for at onset. The costs associated with ending employment, specialized medical care, assistive devices, speech therapy, home modifications, and daily caregiving are overwhelming. Insurance covers only a fraction of these expenses, leaving the family to bear the significant financial burden along with the emotional burden everyone involved is experiencing.
