Though he's made some mistakes in the past and served time for non-violent offenses, Don has always strived to be a better man. He paid his debt to society and more. While in prison, Don became known for his selflessness and courage. He was a model inmate, earning early release for his exemplary behavior, including assisting a prison guard who was being attacked by inmates and spending countless hours in the infirmary, caring for elderly and sick inmates.

Since his release, Don has worked tirelessly to turn his life around. He’s connected with people who believe in second chances and found a safe place to live while working at their dog kennel. He’s also taken on a full-time job in maintenance, and recently, Don accomplished a major milestone: he earned his Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and is now working on obtaining his HazMat license—a critical step toward securing a brighter, more stable future.

But just as Don was gaining momentum, life threw him another curveball. Don was involved in a horrific motorcycle accident that left him with severe injuries, requiring multiple surgeries and extensive physical therapy just to learn how to walk again. Unable to work during this crucial time, Don is facing mounting medical bills and the fear of losing everything he’s worked so hard to rebuild.
