Hi everyone, I’m Kat Mortensen, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my family to ask for your support for our dad, Don.

As many of you know, Dad has always been the one under the hood of a car, working tirelessly his entire life as a mechanic and in car parts to provide for those he loves. Now, he is facing his toughest "repair" yet.

Don has been diagnosed with mouth cancer. To save his life, he is undergoing a massive surgery to remove his tongue and lymph nodes. This is a life-altering procedure that will require him to relearn how to swallow and speak, followed by an incredibly long road of recovery and constant medical visits.

Because of the physical nature of his work, it will be a long time before he can return to the job he loves. We want Dad to focus entirely on healing—not on how he will pay for his mounting medical bills or daily expenses.
