As many of you know, our brother-in-law, Don MacNaughton has been battling cancer for close to 4 years. Over this time Don has had multiple surgeries, rounds of chemo and unforeseen setbacks. He has one last (big) hurdle ahead. As it is not feasible to continue with chemo indefinitely, a liver transplant is his best option so that he can spend many more years with his family. After a year long search for a live donor, Don will be receiving part of his son-in-law, Silas’, liver on Friday, September 26th. Many have asked what they can do to help. First and foremost, we ask that you continue to keep Don, Silas and their family in your prayers. Additionally, there are many related expenses not covered by insurance. Don and Melissa along with Silas and Michele will be spending a minimum of 2 weeks in Rochester. After that, there will be many trips to Rochester to monitor their recovery.
