Support Don Elbaum's Road to Recovery

My father is now in a rehab/nursing home. Things remain uncertain on many levels. He has become severely depressed, Improvement from rehab is moving at a slower rate than hoped.

With heartfelt Thanks to those that have already donated along with some very generous check donations, we have gotten much closer to our goal. This is a long road for my dad Don and family. No donation is too small, your help in achieving our final goal is greatly appreciated.

April 23 I received a call at my home in NYC that my 93 year old father had been found on the floor of his Erie PA apartment unresponsive with complete organ shutdown. I immediately headed to Erie from NYC and have and WILL remain by his side as long as he needs.

As most known my father is an internationally known and respected professional boxing legend. The doctors feared the worst but I know how tough my father is. Within 5 days he was off of all lifesaving machines and his body was working on its own.

Full recovery is going to be a long slow process. He also has another heart surgery early June. He and I need help to get him through this on many fronts and of course most all involve money. I believe the boxing community can help greatly in keeping my father around a bit longer. I know how much he is loved and respected and I wish to thank you all now for your kindness and support.
