Our friend Don Best (or Ram-ji, as many of us know him) was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer in early 2024. He has been undergoing treatment in Santa Fe and is getting stronger by the day, but he still has a long way to go to go in recovery. Medical bills, transportation costs, and daily expenses have all been adding up, as he is unable to work during recovery.

Don has spent his life caring for others. He spent his career feeding people, working at restaurants around the country and in India. He worked tirelessly for many years as a caregiver at the Taos Ashram, where he supported thousands of devotees from around the world. In the little spare time he had, Don volunteered at St. James church, the Taos food pantry, and other charitable organizations.

Now is our opportunity to show Don some of the same support he has shown others. Donations to this GoFundMe will help him to cover the cost of food, basic living expenses, trips to Santa Fe for treatment, and some of his medical bills.
