Fundraising for our dad, Don Baker, as he knocks cancer to the curb.

August 7th our world was rocked when my dad received biopsy results that he has non-small cell lung cancer. As he does with everything in life he approached it the best way he knew how, laughing at what he could and willing to fight like hell.

It was found that he has a mass located in his windpipe and moving into the left lung blocking most airflow to that lung. In a few short weeks breathing has become increasingly more difficult as it has also become pneumonia to that left lung resulting in two emergency room visits due to difficulty breathing and significant chest pain. As the weeks have gone on it has becoming increasingly difficulty to do daily tasks that require moving around and climbing stairs. It appears the cancer is Stage 3 including lymph node involvement in the lung and he

will undergo chemotherapy with either surgery or radiation pending results from his completed PET scan.

Im creating this fundraiser to assist him, my step mom, and brother with financial hardships that are certain to affect them in the near future such as medical bills, paying for basic necessities like groceries, and in the case that emergencies occur with a decrease in ability to work moving forward.

My dad is going to fight like hell to spend plenty more time with his grand babies and enjoy his favorite hobby of riding his bike with his best friends at the Latrobe H.O.G. chapter.
