Support Dom-Sebastian's Dance Journey in LA

Hey y’all! I’m Dom-Sebastian—a passionate creative and dance educator based in Greensboro, NC.

I’m reaching out to share a special opportunity that’s close to my heart and ask for your support in making it happen.

Back in 2015, while studying abroad in Plymouth, England, I stumbled upon a local Hip-Hop studio called The Groovement Project. After just a few classes, the owners invited me to join their team as an instructor. What started as a casual visit turned into an everyday passion. That studio became my second home—and the people there, my chosen family.

Before I returned to the States, they told me they were taking a group of students to Los Angeles for professional dance training—and invited me to join as both a chaperone and fellow student. That experience changed my life. For 10 days, we trained, performed, and pushed ourselves artistically. On the final night, I found myself in tears at a Hard Rock Café in Hollywood, overwhelmed by how deeply I had connected with the community and the journey.

Since then, every three years, we’ve reunited in LA for another round of growth and collaboration—first in 2017, and then again in 2022 (after the pandemic pushed back our plans). These trips are always humbling, soul-filling, and creatively invigorating.

Now, it’s time for the next chapter—and I need your help to get there.

As a full-time dance instructor, I pour so much of my time and energy into teaching and mentoring others. Many of my classes are offered for free or low cost to ensure dance remains accessible. While I love what I do, it doesn’t leave much wiggle room financially—especially when it comes to travel and time off work.

I’ve created this GoFundMe to help cover:

Travel expenses to and from Los Angeles

• Tuition for training classes

• Lost wages while I’m away from my day job
