Support Dominique's Journey to Pro Football in Europe

Hello I am Dominique Varela,

I hope everything is going good for you all. I am trying to make my dreams of playing professional football come true. I have reached the next step in my goal, I just need a little assistance in being able to continue my journey. Here’s a little bit about me.

I am 23 years old, and have been chasing the same dream I’ve had since I started playing football at age 5. I have lived in El Paso, Texas since I was 8, but my family has had roots here for a long time. I graduated from Coronado High School where I played football all 4 years, 3 of those being varsity. During high school I received the MVP award my senior year. I also played in the Greater El Paso Showcase, which is where all the best players in the city get to show off their skills to college scouts.

I then got an offer to play football at the collegiate level from the University of Texas at Permian Basin in Odessa, Texas, where I played for 5 years. During my time in college I received multiple awards including: the prestigious Defensive Lineman of the Year award for the Lone Star Conference, 2nd Team All-Conference award, 2nd team All-Region award, and an Honorable Mention All-American status.

I recently received an offer to play professional football overseas for a team in Europe. Currently I am working 2 jobs to try and save money that way I can pay my way up there so I can continue to chase my dream. Because European teams don’t get paid as much as American football teams, I won’t be making a ton of money while I’m there, I’m just hoping to use this opportunity as a stepping stone to further my career in football and get my film out there.
