Support Dominik's Recovery Journey

Hello everyone, my name is Alison, and I am running this GoFundMe for my dearest brother Dominik Dimaano, BSN, RN, PCCN, CCRN. On September 17, 2024, not long after sharing good laughs and a delicious meal together, Dominik suddenly had two massive seizures and I had to call 911 to rush him to the ER. His initial CT scan revealed a massive brain tumor. Surgery was scheduled for the following day. He is currently recovering in the hospital and will need extensive rehabilitation. In his incapacitated state due to his neurosurgery, he must spend time away from his well-loved career of serving critically-ill patients as a Rapid Response Nurse.

After spending a week in the Neuro ICU, Dom has been transferred to a rehabilitation center where he will need extensive therapy in order to relearn how to walk, dress and feed himself again. Now, after spending ten days in rehab, he has been discharged back home to live with his parents where there will always be someone to help him. He will continue to recover by following up in outpatient rehab for the next couple of weeks.

Over the next couple of months he will be receiving daily targeted radiation treatments and chemotherapy for the treatment of brain cancer.
