Support Dominic's Journey to Full Recovery

On Sunday, March 16, 2025, at 1:00 a.m., I received one of the worst phone calls a parent can receive: my son had been in a near-fatal car accident.

Though we don’t know the cause, we do know that Dominic hit a tree head-on. He has no memory of the accident or the events before it. We are blessed that he is with us today and we are grateful for the immense amount of care and support he’s received.

In the accident, Dominic faced multiple severe injuries. To name a few, he shattered both of his legs, broke and dislocated his left arm in multiple places, and had two small non-invasive fractures in his spine. He also had spleen-removal surgery and countless stitches and staples across his entire body. This will end up totaling four surgeries.

We don’t know how long the road to full recovery will be. But we do know that Dominic is a fighter, and the Lord will be with him with every step he takes.

While we’re beyond grateful that he’s still with us, the accident has left us facing significant financial burdens. His car was totaled, and he will need extensive medical care, therapy, and time off to recover physically and emotionally. He worked full-time at the West Friendship Animal Hospital, but due to the circumstances, he was temporarily laid off.

We are humbly asking for help to get Dominic back on his feet when he reaches full recovery. He will need financial assistance with the replacement of his vehicle so he can regain his independence when he recovers, medical expenses not covered by insurance, and loss of vital income during his time out of work.
