My name is Zach, and I have a 23-year-old son named Dominic. For 2 1/2 years, my son has been battling Stage 4 colon cancer. We've gone through chemo, trials, infusions, and immuno-therapy. It seems like every time we thought we would have some form of good news; bad luck would reign over us. His cancer has spread to his lungs, liver and lymph nodes. It is with a heavy heart that I must report he is currently in liver failure, and the oncologist feels the only option is home hospice. He has been given less than 5 months. Our main goal is to keep him comfortable and give him the best possible quality of life. One of the most difficult things I have EVER had to do is plan my child's passing and celebration of life. My fundraiser request is to cover cremation expenses, and celebration of life arrangements. Any monetary contributions left over will be 100% donated to the cancer research foundation. If you choose not to donate, that's fine, but please take one thing away from this post: Live your life to its fullest and love your family because you don't know how fast it can be taken away. Thank you and God bless.
