Support Dominic's Epilepsy Treatment Journey

Hello everyone,

My name is Sabrina, and I'm reaching out to you today with a heartfelt plea for support for my boyfriend, Dominic. He's been facing an uphill battle with seizures, and we need your help. Some of you may recall that Dom was in a serious snowboarding accident back in 2013. Despite his incredible resilience in overcoming physical therapy and relearning how to walk in just one year, the accident left him with lasting neurological issues, including epilepsy.

Over the years, we've navigated countless medication changes and dosage adjustments, but unfortunately, the seizures have become increasingly difficult to manage. Our treatment options have reached their limit, and we're now facing the reality that Dom requires specialized care and a more long-term solution to gain a better understanding of the nature of his seizures, examine his brain waves, and classify the specific type of seizures he's experiencing. We've made the difficult decision to admit him to the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) at Kootenai starting 07/14. After the EMU results are reviewed, Dom will hopefully be getting his treatment done at Kootenai Health, but we may also have to travel to Seattle or Oregon. This stay will not only physically and emotionally challenging for Dom but has also created a significant financial strain.

We're humbly asking for your support to help ease this burden. Your generous donations will directly assist in covering medical expenses, ensuring that Dom can continue to receive the best possible care, and providing assistance with everyday living costs and bills from seizure-related accidents while he focuses on his health and recovery. As Dom's caregiver, while also juggling my job, I can attest to the challenges we face daily. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference in our lives.
