Hello everyone,
Thank you for all the love, support, and prayers you have shown Gabriel, Abbey, Jason, and Dominic over these last few months. Gabriel and Abbey have reached a place where they feel that additional financial support would be incredibly helpful as they navigate the coming months with Dominic at Boston Children’s Hospital. Dominic is fighting severe congenital heart disease. He was born with pulmonary atresia with an intact ventricular septum and, so far, has spent four months of his life in the hospital. During his stay, he has battled being born nine weeks premature, endured five heart procedures in the cath lab, two cardiac arrests resulting in more than fifteen hours of seizures and brain damage, and one open-heart surgery. He is currently completely sedated and medically paralyzed as he continues to fight for his life. This sweet boy is a fighter, and Gabriel and Abbey are doing everything they can to be by his side at this time.
Gabriel and Abbey are a single-income family, which makes it incredibly difficult for Gabriel to remain at Dominic’s bedside when he is also their only source of income. Their insurance deductible this year is $14,000, and it costs approximately $200 each day for gas, food, and housing to stay in Boston, even when hospital housing is available, let alone their regular living expenses. With your support, we hope to relieve some of the financial burden on Gabriel and Abbey so they can spend this precious time focused on Dominic without the added weight of worrying about bills, travel, and where they will stay. Above all, please pray for peace and comfort for Dominic, for strength for Gabriel and Abbey, and for God to be gracious and merciful to their sweet boy.
“My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” — Psalm 73:26
