I’m an Air Force Veteran who has been helping homeless dogs since 2012, started helping more after I lost my grandparents in 2019, they were my whole world. Then 2020 came and was locked in because of Covid for nearly two years, I didn’t really talk to anyone or had anyone there in person to grief on what happened, it happened randomly one day and not from old age so one day I woke up and my whole world was turned upside down, then Covid came and the whole world was turned upside down and I almost couldn’t take the loneliness I felt. Thought I was going to lose my life from depression and not wanting to be alive anymore. My last hope really was to be there for my mom who lost her mom and the dogs I thought who could help me with the love I was missing. It really hurt me for 3-5 years and I’m just now feeling the thoughts of not wanting to be alive go away. My goal is to help get more people who need love, in front of a dog they don’t currently have. God backwards = Dog and both = Love. I believe I was put here to get dogs out of shelters cages and get homeless dogs into backyards/homes. Because with Love, you don’t think about ending your life and with dogs they generally only give love or want to be there with you. I created DogBackyards.com for that reason. I need help after funding everything myself and building the platform. I’ve spent $30k+ on dog food, dog items, gas, and helping the homeless.
