Raising funds for: People who are Black, Indigenous, or otherwise of Color, who are interested in becoming a certified dog trainer through Karen Pryor Academy's Dog Trainer Professional program.
- As part of our effort to expand our community's inclusiveness, Karen Pryor Academy offers scholarships for people who are Black, Indigenous, or of Color (BIPOC). We have been asked by members of our community if we could also facilitate individual donations to fund BIPOC training education scholarships for Karen Pryor Academy courses. This Go Fund Me page has been created in order to accept and distribute those individual donations. Funds will be distributed in amounts of $250 each to eligible, accepted applicants for the Dog Trainer Professional program as funds become available, on a first-come, first-served basis.

About the Dog Trainer Professional Program
Designed for people who have an interest in training animals professionally, KPA’s Dog Trainer Professional program is a comprehensive program that teaches both the science and practice of dog training. Based on the most up-to-date behavior science and modern training and teaching practices, this 6-month course combines online learning with hands-on teaching from some of the most experienced teachers in the field. Graduates become part of a community of more than 1,800 trainers who demonstrate a consistent level of excellence and represent themselves and the Karen Pryor Academy name proudly.

Karen Pryor Academy for Animal Training & Behavior (KPA) offers positive reinforcement-based courses for both experienced and aspiring trainers. KPA offers 12 all-online courses (Dog Trainer Foundations, Dog Trainer Foundations-Immersion, Dog Trainer Comprehensive, Puppy Start Right for Instructors, Dog Sports Essentials, Shelter Training & Enrichment, Canine Freestyle, Smart Reinforcement, Better Veterinary Visits, Train Your Cat!
