If you know my dad, you know he is the most selfless individual there is. He has always been just a phone call away for anyone, no matter what the circumstance. We, as his daughters, are reaching out on our parents behalf.

On the night of Thanksgiving, my dad experienced a life changing medical emergency. Upon arrival at the ER, we were informed that he had suffered a massive hemorrhagic stroke that had caused uncontrolled bleeding in his brain. Our only option was to transport him to a larger hospital where they could perform surgery, with a less than 3% chance of survival. He came through fighting, but spent 10 days in a medically induced coma while on life support. He’s since moved to a step down unit, but the recovery has only just begun. From what we understand, this is a marathon, not a race, but every day we aim to stay positive and pray for the small wins. We are so grateful to still have him here with us, all things considered, however at this point we are not sure as to the extent of the damage that was inflicted.

Audrey and I have created this fundraiser to provide practical and emotional support during this incredibly challenging time. The funds raised will help alleviate the financial burden of dad’s unforeseen medical costs, allowing Brenda to focus on his recovery without the added stress of financial worries.
