Some people talk about serving their community. Dr. Daniel "Doc" Andrews has spent his life doing it.

For years, Doc has been a chiropractor near Fort Gregg-Adams, Virginia, caring for families, retirees, and the soldiers who serve our country. He is the steady hands families trusted, the healer who never rushed a patient and never forgot a name. That is not just a career. That is a calling. At home, he is a loving husband and devoted father of one, and everything he does is for them.

Several months ago, life changed in an instant. Doc became seriously ill. He has spent weeks in a hospital bed with more still ahead, and a long, difficult recovery after that. The man who spent decades lifting others up cannot lift himself right now.
