Support Dobby's Emergency Surgery and Heart Murmur

Donation protected
Hi! My name is Parker. I recently got a dog from Heart of the Valley Animal Shelter in Montana. Within the first 3 weeks of having her, she started acting funny, so we took her to a vet. The vet we took her to guessed that she was just having gas problems and gave her medication to help her pass the gas. After X-rays and testing for her, we were hoping the medication would help. She quickly got worse over the next two days, so we took her to a new vet who looked at the same X-rays and let us know she had 2 major blockages in her stomach and needed emergency surgery. The medication the previous vet gave us was trying to force her to pass these two blockages (that they guessed was gas), which made her significantly worse and pushed her to the point of almost dying.

Dobby made a full recovery after the emergency and is doing awesome! The vet discovered a heart murmur, so we are currently doing testing to see if it is benign or if she will need to be medicated for the rest of her life. She is still having some stomach issues, so we are getting her tested for that as well.

Dobby is the cutest and gentlest little pup! She is one year old, and we are her 4th home. She was found tied to a pole in a storm in Montana and has been returned several times for just having normal puppy tendencies. She comes to my work every day (I am a therapist) and greets every client with love and excitement! Dobby is my first dog and I was not expecting such a large bill in the first month of getting her, but there was no way I could give her back based off of her extra medical needs in the beginning and I plan on giving her the best life ever! Also, because this all happened within the first 3 weeks of getting her, pet insurance did not kick in in time. I am currently a pre-licensed therapist so I am getting my hours but I have about 5 more months before I am making better money, while currently trying to work to pay off my student loans. To put it simply: I am a broke girly. I used Care Credit to pay for the surgery and am hoping for some financial support to help pay it off and continue to give her the care she needs :)
