About Divergent Minds Collective (DMC):

Divergent Minds Collective is a multidisciplinary cooperative organization dedicated to providing neurodivergent-affirming care for individuals, families, and couples and creating supportive spaces for helping professionals. Our mission is twofold: to empower neurodivergent-affirming therapists with autonomy, financial sustainability, and a supportive community, enabling them to provide exceptional, client-centered care; and to provide an accessible space for neurodivergent people all identities to access high-quality, neurodivergent-affirming multidisciplinary healthcare services. We envision a world where helping professionals thrive and where all people can access effective, affirming therapy services.

Why We Need Your Help:

DMC has been primarily funded by its founders, but to take the next step in our journey, we need your help. We’re seeking funds to apply for behavioral health agency status, which will allow us to negotiate insurance contracts for our members. This will allow us to make our services more accessible to clients by accepting Medicare/Medicaid and other insurance plans at rates that are supportive to our members.

Your support will also help us provide payment for our administrative resources to support and grow the cooperative, and cover legal costs to ensure we are following all of our legal and ethical obligations for running our business as a true cooperative. We’ve chosen crowdfunding over traditional investment because our cooperative values equal say, share, and equity for all members - something we’re deeply committed to upholding.

Cooperative business is about building and fostering community, running on transparency, democratic decision-making, and ensuring every member is heard and served. By supporting us now, you’re helping us take crucial steps to better serve our members and the broader community in the long run by offering high quality healthcare services and community-building resources to neurodivergent people, covered by their insurance providers.
