Hello, I am the daughter of 김동진 (DJ Kim). We have been in the ICU since 10/27 due to heart failure, MRSA, and pneumonia. My father coded on the night of 11/19 and was resuscitated with CPR, followed by five shocks from a defibrillator. His LVAD surgery is now being expedited. I’m currently fundraising for my dad’s heart surgery and to help cover any related bills or costs for his procedure (daily parking, bills, and any necessary medical needs) . My dad is a selfless, kind 56-year-old businessman who always puts others before himself. He’s been through so much in his life—battling pneumonia, surviving a stroke-2017, fighting MRSA, and now facing a heart attack.

As his only child and the caretaker for both him and my grandmother, a 23-year-old student, I’m doing everything I can to support him. He told me he wants to keep fighting for his life so he can one day walk me down the aisle. My dad is not just my parent but also my best friend, and I can’t imagine life without him. He’s the only parent I have due to my parents divorce. I hope our story can be interesting enough to share to the world. He said he wished to write a book with me one day, so please help him make his dreams come true.
