DJ Chorizo Funk AKA Eddie Campos is an amazing soul, local legend and integral part of the Austin music community. His longstanding contributions to ATX nightlife include Body Rock and The Boogie as part of Austin Boogie Crew. He’s a four-time Best of Austin winner, the 2022 winner for the Austin Chronicle’s readers poll for Best DJ, and the 2020 & 2023 Austin Music Award winner for best DJ. In addition he was the in-stadium DJ for Austin FC’s inaugural 2021 season at Q2 stadium.

Sadly on December 27, 2025, Eddie's storage unit was burglarized resulting in the loss of thousands of dollars worth of sound equipment. The stolen goods include gear like speakers and subwoofers that Eddie assembled over years and utilized in his DJ profession. This was a devastating setback for one of the kindest, most genuine people in our community.

Insurance will only cover a maximum of $5,000 of the lost gear which doesn't come close to matching the amount Eddie spent on it. Now is a time when we can step up and show love & support to him as a thank you for the soul uplifting services he provides us on the regular.
