For years, DJing has been more than just music for me, it’s been a way to bring people together.
From community events and workshops to competitions and late nights on the decks, I’ve been grateful to share music with incredible people across the Bay Area and beyond. Being an independent artist means building everything from the ground up, every event, every set, every connection with the crowd.
For the past 10 years, I’ve worked consistently without taking a real break, always pushing forward and showing up for my community through music.
In the coming weeks, I’ll be taking a short but necessary break from performing to focus on my health and recovery. This isn’t really a choice, recovery is something I need to prioritize right now. Like many self-employed people, when I’m unable to work, my income pauses too.
This fundraiser is simply to help ease that temporary gap while I recover so I can return to DJing, teaching, and continuing the work I love.
I’m hoping to raise $15,000 to help cover essential living expenses, medical and recovery costs, and basic responsibilities during this time.
How the funds will help:
• Rent and essential living expenses
• Medical and recovery-related expenses
• Bills while I’m temporarily unable to perform
• Allowing me to properly recover and return to work
There is absolutely no expectation, only gratitude, for anyone who chooses to support. Even sharing helps.
If you’ve ever supported my journey, attended a set, booked me, taken a workshop, or simply believe in supporting independent artists, I truly appreciate you.
I look forward to getting back behind the decks soon and continuing to give back to the communities that have supported me.
With gratitude,
DJ Bitesize
