"I can't believe it...I got it! They offered me an Arts Scholarship." - Zhysha
Who is Zhysha:
- A talented 16-year-old artist from London, UK.
- An aspiring architect
- Her hard work and dedication paid off as she received an Arts scholarship for an International prestigious school.
- This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for her to receive the best education, through the IB diploma programme and to develop her talent and skills.
Why we've set up this Campaign?
- In 6 weeks, Zhysha's mother is required to pay £22,000 in costs for the first year.
- As a working single mother and due to time constraints, she needs help to raise the funds.
- Zhysha's dream is to attend this August 2023 on her new adventure.
- We, as Zhysha's Godfather and Aunty, want to support them both in making this a reality.
- Zhysha will be one of only two black ethnicity students attending this school, so in light of inclusivity, promoting representation and equality, we are asking for support.
How Funds Will be Used:
The terms and conditions of this award states that the details of this scholarship cannot be disclosed, so we are limited to the information we can provide and while the Arts Scholarship is a remarkable achievement, it does not cover the full expenses.
Although Zhysha was not awarded a 100% scholarship, the scholarship does cover over £50,000 worth of tuition fees and boarding costs. Your donations will cover the additional costs left on her mother’s shoulders covering the remaining tuition and boarding fees, the school bond, medical insurance, visa expenses, flights, school trips, uniform, school supplies and exam costs.
Over the 2 years, this amounts to £44,000! We stand at a crossroads where the call of opportunity correlates with the challenges of financial limitations. This sum holds the key to our young artist's dreams.
We are asking for the amount of £22,000 to secure the first year of Zhysha’s education, required by mid-July 2023.
The second amount of £22,000, Zhysha's mother will secure over the following months.
