Hello, my name is Heather and I live in the heart of Western North Carolina in Hendersonville. As many of you know, we recently were struck by Hurricane Helene. Towns were leveled, people lost their loved ones, and those that survived the major flood areas were displaced.

A couple of my friends/coworkers lost many of their possessions, are rebuilding their homes, or completely lost everything they own. They've had to stay with friends or family, or live at their place of work (the hospital) due to needing to meet monetary needs.

My goal is to help them momentarily, even if only a little. To help give them peace of mind about getting their next meal once all of the programs offering free ones subside. To help them pay their cell phone bill so they can stay in touch with family and start applying for financial aid they need or making insurance claims.

Every little bit helps.

These friends would do anything to help people around them and are the type that won't ask for help when they personally need it. So I'm hoping to help them have some light of hope while they continue to try to mentally process everything that has happened to them.
