Hi, Im Georgina and I am Founder of Make A Change Media CIC.

I am an award winner and a TV industry veteran having worked in television and media for 15 years. I am also proud of my disadvantaged roots and throughout my experience working in the industry have found it both life-changing and rewarding however more work needs to be done to allow true inclusion and representation both on screen and behind camera for disadvantaged women to remain authentic and thrive. I have set up Make A Change with the aim of making a change in women's lives that need it the most. I want to help women from poverty, single mums, those with mental health conditions etc and have created our first transformative programme that I feel will change the lives of 10 women.

Our vision is to witness the advancement of disadvantaged women creatives leading in every facet of the screen industries. We envision a future where every woman, regardless of her background, has the tools and support to excel in the media sector.

Who We Help:

We focus on empowering disadvantaged women facing socio-economic challenges, aiming to provide them with the skills, confidence, and opportunities necessary to succeed in the competitive world of media. Through our programs, we target those who may not have had access to traditional pathways into the industry.

Transformative Program Overview:

Our first transformative programme is designed to impact the lives of 10 deserving women. The program comprises a comprehensive curriculum delivered through a combination of virtual group training and personalized mentoring.

The programme includes the following key components:

Weekly sessions addressing mental health, stress management, and overall well-being.

Practical guidance on budgeting, financial planning, and managing personal finances.

Tailored sessions to boost self-confidence and empower participants to overcome challenges.

Insightful sessions on the fundamentals of TV production management.

Advanced training to deepen understanding and skills in production management.

Individualized coaching to enhance participants' employability through effective CV and cover letter writing.

An exciting culminating event offering our participants the chance to experience working in a media environment at a prominent media organization or an independent production company/studio.

After the training programme we will place our women into paid roles within the industry and keep in contact with them via our WhatsApp group to send more opportunities and have check in meets via Zoom after the programme.
