Hi! I just got hired for a retreat from friends and agreed upon an amount over the phone.

After setting up my gear I was told they didnt have the budget to pay me the agreed amount.

Then told that it was my fault for not having a contract and that they told me that it was never a guarantee or something like that.

I worked on four 3 hr long sets, bought a new speaker, I have 2 herniated discs, lumbar stinosis, + fibromyalgia. Ended up lifting mostly everything myself even thought they gave someone a free ticket to help me. There's so many details that I dont have the energy to share. I definitely crashed out. It wasn't pretty. But it was from the initial disrespect and thinking they could take advantage of me

I am disabled, queer, bipoc ... I really need some help. I just took a huge loss and now feel traumatized and betrayed by people who expressed love for me.

You all know me. Believe what you want. I have always marched to the beat of my own drum, and I will continue to do so. And watching people dance to my beat is what brings me joy.
