As my partner and I are both trans we of course had trouble using our preferred names, even though my partner used their "legal" name for some reason GoFundMe had their dead name. So I set this up using my "legal" name, which makes me very uncomfortable but we really need help. Anyways, the following is written by my partner Dirty. We appreciate any help y'all can give. My name is Dirty, and I'm a working class anarchist punk who needs help. My partner and I are in a tight spot since FINALLY getting our own place. It was a monumental struggle just to get into this place, and that struggle still isn't over. Everything was looking great until a month after moving in, the clutch gave out in our only car, reducing us to one income to pay everything.

My partner is a union electrician, so they remain "on the books" for work whenever they are available. There isn't any local work for them, so that's off the table for now. They've been applying for whatever job they can get locally outside of their trade, but it should come as no surprise that that isn't panning out in this job market.

I live near my job, so I commute by bicycle every day. My income covers the rent and a little food, but only just. We're currently on a payment plan with the landlord and it's quickly becoming untenable. We don't run the heat or A/C just to keep the bills down, except when their son is with us every other week. We've been surviving on PB&J and cereal and ramen mostly, getting by on short term loans through my banking app. We're simply not paying bills right now, hoping we can come up with a solution before stuff gets shut off.

We've set a goal of $5,000 because we have about two and a half months of unpaid bills, an empty pantry and fridge, and a car that desperately needs repair. I've also lost my phone over a week ago, and it will need to be replaced. I'm not aiming for anything fancy, just a basic smartphone, likely used. We're hoping that'll be enough to catch us up, so I can rebuild a little savings in case of another emergency. As it stands, we may end up on the street. Please help us if you can, if only even a dollar. It all adds up.
