On Saturday afternoon, I received a call that changed my life forever. It was from a hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, informing me that my youngest brother, Diosdado, had been in a horrific motorcycle accident. With fear and hope in my heart, I asked if he was going to survive. After a brief pause, I heard the words that shattered me: “I’m very sorry, Victor.”

My beloved brother Diosdado had passed away.

Diosdado was more than just a brother—he was a devoted husband, a loving father to two children, and a proud grandfather to a beautiful granddaughter. His sudden passing has left an unimaginable void in our family.
