Hello friends, family, and acquaintances, Alex and Lalo here, reaching out as we have been hit by an urgent financial need we weren't prepared for. Our fur baby Diosa was hit by a car early on the morning of April 6th, we are grateful she is alive and somewhat stable. We tried to get her to a vet here in the U.S and it has been extremely hard to get her the care she needs because of the high cost. We were able to only afford to get her well enough to be stabilized and on meds for pain, inflammation and her eye injury, that alone cost a majority of our April rent.

Diosa is currently in shock from her injuries, showing signs of trauma particularly to her right eye and her skull. While the initial X-rays showed no chest or rib injuries, she needs close monitoring and supportive care. Her body temperature and circulation are lower than normal, which is why hospitalization for 12-24 hours is so important for her to continue to be stabilized. Diosa needs additional imaging of her head to check for skull fractures, particularly around her right eye.

Diosa has always been the most supportive animal that we have, she is the one that always wants to be cuddled and snuggle up to us, she is protective of her other fur siblings, Shes a true goddess in our home. She is 2 years old and has 2 other sisters. We adopted all 3 black cats and would love to continue to keep them together. Diosa has that true sweet and spicy attitude, she is funny and caring and also adventurous. She loves to climb trees and sunbathe. It's hard to believe she would get hit in our little neighborhood where the speed limit is about 25. Diosa is the fastest out of the 3 and never crosses the street. We never imagined it would be her the most cautious and observant of our girls, which leads us to believe this could’ve been an intentional hit and run.

We are creating this crowdfund in hopes of being able to raise enough funds to cover the expense of driving her over to an affordable Tijuana Vet hospital that has been recommended by another fur baby lover. We would like to raise about 4000 since we had been invoiced here in the US for about 3000ish but only including 24 hours of hospitalization and no actual surgical intervention, after care, or diagnosis. The amount of 4000 will help cover the treatment she needs to ensure the best chance of increasing her quality of life. Anything we receive in donations will be going towards her care. We are unsure how much, but we anticipate it won't be more than this amount. Thank you for reading and we hope you can share with our friends.
