Support Diony's Critical Recovery Journey

On Friday, July 18th, our dear Diony Gavidia Soto was involved in a severe motorcycle accident. He sustained life-threatening injuries and is currently in critical condition in the Trauma ICU at Huntsville Hospital. Since the accident, Diony has undergone multiple surgeries in an effort to stabilize his condition, with more procedures to come as doctors feel he is stable enough. His road to recovery will be long, and his condition remains critical.

Diony is more than just a patient to us—he’s a beloved son, brother, cousin, nephew, and friend. He has a passion for life and is known for his love of soccer, his joy of riding his motorcycle, and his skill as a barber. His infectious spirit and friendly smile have always brought warmth and laughter to everyone who knows him.

We’ve started this fundraiser to help ease the financial burden of his mounting medical expenses and the time he will need away from work as he fights to recover. We’ve set this goal to help cover Diony’s mounting medical expenses, including surgeries, ICU care, prosthetics, rehabilitation, and long-term therapy. As he is a triple amputee, his recovery will require ongoing medical treatments and adaptive tools to help him regain his independence. We’re also asking for help with the lost wages his family is facing as they focus on supporting Diony through this difficult time. Diony will need extensive care in the coming months, and the costs are overwhelming. Every donation, no matter how small, will help us support him on his journey to recovery.

El viernes 18 de julio, nuestro querido Diony Gavidia Soto estuvo involucrado en un grave accidente de transito, mientras manejaba su motocicleta. Sufrió heridas muy graves y actualmente se encuentra en condición crítica en ICU de Trauma del Hospital de Huntsville. Desde el accidente, Diony ha pasado por múltiples cirugías para estabilizar su condición, con más procedimientos por venir a medida que los médicos consideren que está lo suficientemente estable. Su recuperación será larga y su estado sigue siendo crítico.

Diony es mucho más que un paciente para nosotros: es un querido hijo, hermano, primo, sobrino y amigo. Tiene una pasión por la vida y es conocido por su amor al fútbol, su alegría al montar su motocicleta y su habilidad como barbero. Su espíritu contagioso y su sonrisa amigable siempre han traído calor y risas a todos los que lo conocen.

Hemos iniciado esta recaudación de fondos para ayudar a aliviar la carga financiera de sus crecientes gastos médicos y el tiempo que estaba alejado del trabajo mientras lucha por recuperarse.
