On Wednesday, the 25th of February, my mother Dionne had to have emergency surgery to remove a blockage in her intestines. While doing the surgery, they found a fist-sized tumor that was thankfully non-cancerous. However, part of her intestines had died and had to be removed. She has a colostomy and bladder drain at the moment.

We are unsure of when she will be able to return to work. The big issue at the moment is that she doesn’t have health insurance. I’m trying to raise money to help pay household expenses and hospital expenses.
