My name is Liza Bostic, and I am the mother of Diondrick McLeod. On November 14, our lives changed forever when a drive-by shooting occurred at our home. My son Diondrick, who is only 12 years old, was shot in the eye. The injury left him with 15 fragments in his eye, and on November 15, he underwent surgery to remove them. The doctors were able to recover 14 out of the 15 fragments, but one still remains, and he may need another surgery to remove it. Every week, we travel back and forth to Durham for his care, hoping for the best possible outcome for Diondrick’s recovery.
We are not the type of people to ask for anything, but the medical bills and travel costs are becoming more than we can handle on our own. Diondrick has a long road ahead, and every bit of support will help us focus on his healing and well-being. The funds raised will go directly toward his medical bills, ongoing treatments, and the travel expenses needed to get him the care he deserves.
We are deeply grateful for any help you can give, and we ask that you please keep Diondrick in your prayers. Your kindness and support mean the world to our family during this difficult time.
