For those who knew him, "Country" was simply a fun guy who genuinely enjoyed having a good time and sharing stories and tales of good times, adventure, and camaraderie—with friends and strangers alike. John never had a stranger for long; he had a rare gift for leaving a mark, and he always walked away having made a new friend. His warmth, generosity, and ability to brighten any room will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

John is survived by his beloved partner, Dina Shipman, who is now navigating this devastating loss.
