Support Dillon's Fight Against Cancer

Hi, my name is Chelsea King. In early July 2024, our lives were turned upside down when my brother, Dillon, received devastating news. Dillon, a loving and devoted new dad to a beautiful baby girl named Cherry, was diagnosed with cancer. After noticing a mass that had been present for some time but had begun to rapidly grow, Dillon underwent a biopsy. The results were alarming—he was diagnosed with a rare form of lymphoma, leaving us with more questions than answers.

On August 21, 2024, we finally received a definitive diagnosis: Dillon has diffuse large B cell lymphoma, a form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma. After countless doctor’s appointments and months of uncertainty, we now know the cause of his daily pain and illness.

Dillon is now on a challenging treatment journey. He began chemotherapy (R-CHOP) on August 30th, but due to complications, it was paused. On September 3rd, he was able to successfully complete his first round of chemo. The days following have been tough, as he's been feeling ill but is doing his best to stay involved with his daughter. This marks the start of his chemotherapy regimen, which will include six sessions every three weeks. His next round of chemotherapy is scheduled for September 24th.

Dillon is one of the strongest and most resilient people I know, and I have no doubt that he will fight this cancer with everything he has. Alongside him every step of the way are his girlfriend, Cassidy, their daughter Cherry, and our entire family and friends who love him dearly.

Unfortunately, Dillon has exhausted his time off from work and does not qualify for any additional FMLA benefits. His insurance is currently attempting to deny coverage for his chemo medication, and the appeal is in process. He is already hit his max and currently owes $12,000 in medical bills.

Additionally, his work will soon transition him to COBRA, which will significantly increase his insurance premium. While we are working on securing disability, there are no guarantees, and the road ahead will be challenging. We are doing everything we can to help Dillon and his family keep their apartment in Fallbrook so they can remain close to his care team at the University of San Diego. These funds will also help to keep him afloat without extra worry regarding things like diapers, groceries, utilities, his car note, and car insurance.

We are reaching out to our community and beyond, asking for your support during this difficult time. Any donation, no matter how small, will make a difference in helping Dillon cover his medical expenses and provide for his family.
If you prefer to donate through Zelle, Dillon's phone number is linked for that option as well.

Please keep Dillon in your thoughts and prayers as he takes on this battle. We are incredibly grateful for any support you can provide, whether it be financial, emotional, through prayer, or by sharing this campaign.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
