Dillon Lewis, career wildland firefighter and life-long public servant, was recently diagnosed with brain cancer in the form of a tumor. She underwent surgery to remove the tumor and has begun chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Dillon began her fire career with the Forest Service in 1978 and spent the next three decades climbing the ranks to the Battalion Chief level. She is also a passionate supporter of prescribed fire and fuels work and has led many operations as a Burn Boss over the years. Dillon has filled various other roles since retiring from primary fire duties, and she is currently the Fleet Manager on our forest. We are humbled to extend this opportunity to support Dillon and to stand with her during this difficult time.
All funds raised will go directly to Dillon to help pay for mounting medical bills and to support her quality of life as she continues her battle against cancer.
