Hi! We are the Digital Dragons, a community FTC robotics team of middle school students from all over Eugene. All of us are in 7th and 8th grade -- creative, enthusiastic budding engineers!
Most teams like ours are filled with high school students. Despite only being middle schoolers, we've worked really hard and are proud of our successes!
In the past year we won a prestigious award in a tournament and were the youngest team in Oregon to qualify for the state championship. We also held workshops where we adapted buttons and toys for children with mobility disorders, which we then donated to children through OHSU's Eugene Child Development and Rehabilitation Center.
Our robotics team is teaching us engineering and leadership skills that will put us on a path for future success. And we're trying to improve our community along the way!
While you can't put a price on this kind of hands-on education, the costs of our robot parts add up! We're trying to raise enough money to pay for our building materials, competition registration, and electronics. If we cover all of our normal expenses, we'd love to buy another parts kit so more of our team can work on robots at the same time. Can you help?
The Digital Dragons are part of Central Lane Robotics, a nonprofit that supports robotics clubs in Lane County. That means your donations will be tax-deductible.
Thank you for helping us keep our team going so we can continue to build and learn. We promise to make you proud!
