Open Door: Festival of Inclusivity 2.0 — Let Every Child Belong

A street carnival in Kolkata, India bringing together differently abled children, cancer warriors, and thalassemia fighters to celebrate inclusion and joy.

Why We’re Raising Funds

Every child deserves to belong. More than 76,000 children are diagnosed with cancer each year, and 15,000 more are born with beta-thalassemia major. Too often, these children face not just medical challenges but social exclusion — limited access to schools, play, and acceptance.

What Is Open Door?

Started in 2024 by the Rotary Club of Calcutta Newbies and Noble Mission of South Calcutta School, supported by Samaj Sebi Sangha, the festival transforms Lake Road, South Calcutta into a joyful street carnival.

Children of all abilities come together for a day filled with:

• Music, dance, and theater on the Open Stage

• Art displays and games in the Open Space

• Interactive stalls run by schools and community groups

This year’s Open Door 2.0 will take place on January 18, 2026, with over 5,000 people expected to join.
