Support Diego's Peaceful Farewell
Donation protected
Hi everyone, I am reaching out from a super vulnerable place. Our sweet Diego is ready to ascend into the heavenly cosmos at 12 years old. Although I was only his mother for the later 5 years of his life, upon meeting him, we immediately had a special bond. Since Diego was a pup, he has been mostly non-verbal, only speaking with his deep breaths, tapping his paws, and quietly staring at you with his deep blue Siberian eyes. In the years that I was his mother, he and I had a way of understanding each other that is honestly hard to put into words. I could always sense him and understand him when he needed something any time of the day or night.
Until recently, Diego has always been super friendly with other pups and definitely a people person. He loved more than anything to go on walks & hikes, and play fight with his Dad in the middle of the street. He also enjoyed his mini pool in the summer and swimming in lakes. Although non-verbal, the first and only time I heard him bark was at a petting zoo when he saw the goats for the first time! He was SO excited. At heart, I think Diego was meant to be a farm pup. I’ve also seen him chase chickens and have such a blast :)
Diego has been such a blessing to his family and this is why I am writing today to ask for any support you can provide at this time. The funds I am asking for will go towards Diego going through an in-home euthanasia process through the mobile vet here in Colorado called Home with Dignity, and they will also cremate him and provide us with his ashes. We want to do the in-home process because Diego has been struggling with severe joint issues and arthritis for the past year, and he has been unable to get up and down stairs for the past 6 months. He has struggled with anxiety over the years, and we would like for this process to be the least stressful as possible for him. We just want him to feel comfortable, at peace, and surrounded by love in his physical last moments. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.
