Hey everyone, my name is Diego Cervantes. I am a 20 year old trumpet player and full-time college student at the Fresno State School of Music as well as a music and marching arts instructor.

I have been doing Drum Corps International for 3 years, and i am coming up on my 4th. For those of you unfamiliar, DCI is an organization that allows musicians and performers to put on a show on football fields using a variety of instruments, props, and choreography. I have had the privilege of spending the last two summers with the Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps, an amazing group of people led by an amazing staff, and I am exciting to get my 3rd and final year marching with them.

However, the price of tuition for the summer has only been going up with the state of the activity and the state of the country. With rent, gas, and my college tuition, the final summer i have in this activity is coming to be harder to achieve than i had thought.

I would like to ask for any assistance that you could provide. With any amount of donation you would be helping pay for flights, hotels for camps, and also my tuition for the summer. But that’s just the logistics. What the summer is for me has not been just an activity I get the privilege to do, but it has also been a life-changing experience that has helped shape me into who i am today. I’ve encountered amazing memories, experiences, lessons, and people along the way. It would not be an understatement to describe this as the biggest contribution to my passion and my biggest dream come to life.
