Meet Diego - our loyal, loving, goofy best buddy. We've been lucky to have Diego in our lives since he was 12 weeks old. He was rescued from South Korea and he quickly became part of our family. It takes Diego a bit to warm up to somebody new, but once you are in his inner circle, he is so loyal. He is the kind of dog who will press against you for hugs, shower you with kisses, and follows you everywhere just to be close - the definition of a "leaner and a licker."
Recently, Diego injured his ACL (knee alignment), and he needs surgery to walk and play comfortably again. He had his first ACL surgery 2 years ago and now needs a second one on his left leg to get back up and moving again. The vet explained the surgery is necessary to relieve his pain and prevent long-term damage. Without it, Diego will have trouble walking, running and doing what he loves most - chasing balls and frisbees, and running in our big backyard.
The estimated cost for the surgery, pre and post recovery is around $6,000. which includes the pre-op appointment, blood work, operation, anesthesia, medications and follow-up appointments.
Every contribution - no matter how small - will go directly towards Diego's surgery, post-op care and rehabilitation.
We're so grateful for any support. If you can't donate, sharing this campaign would mean the world to us.
Thank you for helping our sweet boy get back to doing what he loves most - going for walks, running, playing and spreading joy.
With gratitude, Kate and Sean Pegg
