Support Diego "Dean" Garcia In His Recovery
Donation protected
Dear La Principal friends and neighbors,
We're reaching out with hopeful spirits to ask for your support for someone who’s poured drinks, lent a listening ear, and offered kindness to so many—our friend and beloved bartender, Diego “Dean” Garcia.
CPS Dean of Students during the day, and friendly neighborhood bartender by night, Diego received some troubling news. After a routine checkup, and subsequent doctors’ visits, Diego finds himself under the knife for triple bypass heart surgery (literally under the knife as of this posting). As you can imagine, this is a major operation that requires not only physical strength to endure but also months of recovery.
While Diego has decent health insurance through his job with CPS, Diego will be unable to work the entire summer. Since school is out, his regular paychecks are non-existent.
We’re asking for your help to raise $10,000 to cover:
• Rent and utilities during recovery
• Basic living expenses (groceries, transportation, etc.)
• Out-of-pocket medical costs and medications
• Cardiac rehab and follow-up appointments
Most of you have come to know and love Diego as part of our community and the La Principal family. Diego has spent years tending bar, making sure others are taken care of – so let’s step up and take care of Diego. La Principal is priming the pot with a $1000.00 donation. Our staff is following up with whatever they can muster. We’re reaching out to help us achieve our goal of $10,000 to aid in Diego’s recovery. No donation is too small. Every dollar, every share, every kind word helps.
Let’s rally around Diego, help ease his financial burden, so he can focus on recovering and get back to shaking your favorite cocktails!
Thank you for any consideration.
With gratitude,
Eric Young – on behalf of La Principal
