Hi Everyone,

As most of you know, my mother, Diane (aka Di Di), was admitted to the hospital for a complex abdominal surgery on June 9th. Unfortunately, due to a severe infection, multiple emergency GI bleeds, and other complications, she has been in the ICU for over a month and has been battling illness for even longer than that. As of a few days ago, she has finally been moved to an ICU step-down unit and appears to be on the path to recovery—which brings me here.

First, let me tell you a little about my mom. If you don’t know her, she is truly one of the most selfless people you’ll ever meet. She loves deeply, cares fiercely for her people, and brings sunshine—and plenty of sass—wherever she goes. She’s the best mom and grandmother, and she means the world to our family. She’s the glue that holds us all together, and now, she needs our help.

With an almost two- month medical stay and a planned medical rehab ahead, the financial burden is unfortunately, inevitable. With the inability to work and the abundance of anticipated medical bills to come we are asking for any donation to help support her recovery and eventual transition home.

The support and prayers sent her way so far have carried us through some of the hardest days. We truly couldn’t have made it this far without you. Thank you so much for all you’ve done—and continue to do—for our family during this incredibly challenging and unexpected time.
