Diane Holliday spent 44 years of her life teaching—not just math, but also personal responsibility, respect for others, patience, and the belief that everyone can win. She invested in generations of children, families, and classrooms, always giving more than she hoped to receive in return.

On March 6th, Diane and her husband were hit by a car in Florida while crossing the street on foot, just before they were set to begin a Caribbean cruise. Her husband’s foot and ankle were run over, but Diane was struck directly and suffered a fractured skull, broken neck, four broken ribs, and a broken fibula. She is currently fighting in the ICU, and while her doctors are optimistic about a full neurological recovery, the road ahead will be long and difficult.

As Diane begins her recovery, our families are doing everything we can to stay by her side. Unfortunately, the journey comes with significant expenses that fall outside of insurance coverage—flights, lodging, car rentals, medical transport, and ongoing support as both Diane and her husband heal. We are reaching out to friends, family, and anyone touched by Diane’s dedication to others, asking for help so she can focus on healing and returning to the community she has given so much to.
