Mom passed away at 9:45 PM on Saturday September 13, 2025. As most of you know, Mom (Diane Barney) was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma in June. We knew we wouldn't have much time left with her, and was even shorter than we hoped. It is time to start thinking about final arrangements. Unfortunately, Mom did not have any life insurance, and we need help with funeral costs.

I am so fortunate and grateful that I have had as much time with my Mom as I have had, and I just want to do the best for her that I can. Mom just celebrated her 72nd birthday while she was in the hospital, and it was so funny because when someone would ask her how old she was, she would say, "Hell if I know!" She is a charming, funny, warm person, and our lives are going to be diminished so much without her.

My Mom has not only been a wonderful mother to myself and my brother and a wonderful wife to my Dad for 50 years, but she was a surrogate mom to all of our friends and all the kids she worked with at Rally's all those years ago. She would feed you if you were hungry, give a place to sleep, or just do whatever she could to make sure someone who needed help had it. Of course, she wasn't perfect (who is?), but she was perfect for us. She touched a lot of lives and made lifelong friends along the way.
