Support Diane After Ron's Sudden Passing

My name is Jennifer Carlsen and I am the neighbor of Diane and Ron Prigge. They were residents of our neighborhood for decades. They were a kind, quiet, loving couple who were never too busy to stop and say hello or to lend a helping hand. Ron would always stop and talk to my kids, making sure they were safe while they were out riding their bikes. They looked forward to seeing him almost daily.

Sadly, all of those greetings and well wishes would abruptly come to an end and we didn't know why. Then, I learned from another neighbor that Ron had suddenly and unexpectedly passed away. Unbeknownst to him, he was silently suffering from liver cancer. Just 2 weeks prior, he wasn't feeling well and decided to make a doctor's appointment. However, sadly, it was too late. The cancer that was silently killing him had already become terminal, and Ron lost the battle that he didn't even realize he was fighting.

Ron was a proud U.S. Marine Corps Veteran and the primary caregiver for his wife Diane, as she has medical issues that prevent her from being able to drive or work. He took her to all of her appointments and anywhere she needed to go. He was an amazing, loving husband. Diane is now left with unexpected funeral costs and needing to find help with rides and assistance. If you are able to donate anything at all to help Diane navigate this very difficult time, that would be amazing. Diane and Ron had no children together and she is relying on the help of her caring neighbors right now to get by. She is an amazing woman trying to mourn the loss of her loving husband, but struggling due to this financial burden.
