Update: It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that we share that our beloved Diana has passed away.
Our family is devastated by this unimaginable loss. Diana fought with incredible strength after the tragic hit-and-run, but despite the tireless efforts of her medical team and the countless prayers from family, friends, and the community, her injuries were too severe.
Diana was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend whose kindness touched so many lives. Her son, Michael, is now facing the heartbreaking loss of his mother while beginning a new chapter of his own life.
We are deeply grateful for the overwhelming love, prayers, donations, and support you have shown our family during this incredibly difficult time. Your generosity has meant more than words can express.
As we navigate this heartbreaking loss, donations will now help cover funeral and memorial expenses, any remaining medical bills, and provide support for Michael as he mourns his mother and begins to move forward.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with our family. Please continue to keep Diana, Michael, and all who loved her in your thoughts and prayers.
On Sunday, June 21, 2026, my beloved aunt, Diana Rolon, became the victim of a devastating hit-and-run on Decker Avenue in Staten Island.
That afternoon, around 4:00 PM, Diana was spending her first Father's Day without her father. While attending a garage sale just a few blocks from her home, she was struck by a white BMW with no license plates. The driver fled the scene, leaving Diana critically injured.
Diana was immediately intubated and rushed to the hospital, where she underwent emergency brain surgery. She is currently fighting for her life in critical condition.
Diana is more than a victim of this tragedy—she is a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. As a single mother, she has devoted her life to raising her son, Michael. Just days ago, our family was preparing to celebrate Michael's high school graduation and all the exciting opportunities ahead of him. Instead, Michael is spending his days and nights at the hospital, praying for his mother's recovery and holding onto hope during the most difficult time of his life.
We are asking for any support you can provide. Donations will help cover Diana's mounting medical expenses and provide financial assistance to Michael as he navigates this unimaginable situation. No contribution is too small, and every act of kindness makes a difference.
Our family has already been overwhelmed by the love, support, and prayers we've received from friends, family, neighbors, and the community. We are deeply grateful for every message, every prayer, every donation, and every person who has kept Diana in their thoughts. We also want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the bystanders who stopped to help Diana at the scene and did everything they could in those critical moments.
Please continue to keep Diana in your prayers as she fights for recovery. Your support, compassion, and generosity mean more to our family than words can express.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
