Support Diana as she battles aggressive breast cancer

Our beloved family member and friend, Diana Dixon-Carter, single mother of two (Sianni age 18 and Cameron age 8), needs our help. Sadly, Diana’s husband passed away last year after battling an illness.

Diana was diagnosed with Invasive Carcinoma/Ductal (Breast Cancer-Triple Negative) on Nov. 6, 2024, after feeling a lump in her left breast during a self-exam much earlier in the year. This is an extremely aggressive form of breast cancer. She informed her doctor of the lump at an appointment in July 2024. She had a mammogram & ultrasound on Sept. 11, 2024 and a biopsy on October 31, 2024. Diana met with a breast surgeon on Dec. 12, 2024.

After her insurance initially denied her breast surgeon's request for an MRI and PET scan, she finally completed all necessary testing to begin her chemo (Genetic Testing, CT scan, Bone Scan, MRI, and echocardiogram). Her chest port insertion went well. Her oncologist developed her treatment plan. She will need 6 months of treatment to shrink the lump and then surgery. Her first chemo session was on Wednesday, January 29, 2025. Treatments like this are very expensive, even with insurance and depending on the type of insurance you have. There are many other expenses that will come up during this time of need.
