I never thought I'd have to write this, but my mother has been fighting systemic lupus all her life, ever since my brother and I were kids. Unfortunately, for the past four years, around the same time each year, she would become very sick and need to be hospitalized for multiple illnesses. It was incredibly hard to see her sick every year. Despite her struggles, she was a warrior, always smiling and ready to help anyone—family, friend, or stranger—going through a hard time. She was a loving mother, father, grandmother, aunt, and a dear friend.

Writing this is very difficult because she was our pride and joy. Yesterday, between 5:00 pm and 5:34 pm, she had her last moments with us, and heaven gained another angel. If anyone can donate to help cover my mom’s services and support our family through this tragic loss, it would mean the utmost love and appreciation.
