# Supporting Diana Muller Through AML Leukemia Treatment
Our cherished friend Diana Muller was recently diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), a type of cancer that affects the blood and bone marrow. This diagnosis has come as a shock to Diana, her family, and our entire community of friends, colleagues, and students who hold her dear.
Diana has touched countless lives as a dedicated 5th grade teacher at Candlewood Lake Elementary School, and can always be found cheering from the sidelines for her husband, Bryan, a Special Ed teacher and head coach of the Brookfield High School Football team. She has always been the person who shows up for others—both in and out of the classroom—and now, it's our turn to show up for her as she faces this fight.
## The Journey Ahead
AML treatment is intensive and typically requires lengthy hospital stays, multiple rounds of chemotherapy, and possibly a bone marrow transplant. The medical journey ahead will be both physically demanding and financially challenging. While Diana has health insurance, there are many expenses that won't be covered, including:
- Out-of-pocket medical costs and deductibles
- Travel expenses to and from specialized treatment centers
- Lost income during treatment and recovery periods when she cannot teach
- Medications and specialized care needs
## How You Can Help
Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference in Diana's journey toward recovery. Your generosity will allow her and Bryan to focus on what matters most right now: healing.
In addition to financial support, we welcome messages of encouragement and hope that we can share with her and her family during treatment. Let's surround the Muller's with the same love and care that they have always shown our community.
Thank you for standing with the Muller's during this difficult time. Together, we can help lighten the burden and provide the support they need to fight this disease.
